Opportunities
Volunteer, develop, collaborate and help shape Neurodivergent Arts CIC.
Neurodivergent Arts CIC is building a creative network shaped by lived experience, community voice and shared opportunity.
We are interested in hearing from people who may want to volunteer, develop as creative facilitators, train towards employment coaching, work with us as freelance artists or facilitators, or support the CIC through our Community Voice Forum.
We are happy to have a conversation about what feels possible, what support may help and where your interests could fit.

Volunteering
Volunteering is an important part of the Neurodivergent Arts CIC pathway. Many of our volunteers first connect with us through a group, programme or creative project facilitated by Beth, and choose to stay connected once it ends.
Volunteering can become a natural progression route, and a way to build confidence, develop transferable skills and explore future creative or professional opportunities.
Volunteering may include things like:
Helping with creative sessions and events
Preparing materials and welcoming participants
Contributing ideas or documenting activity
Supporting exhibitions or cultural projects
Where possible, we also offer development training for volunteers – covering things like creative facilitation, communication, safeguarding awareness and reflective practice – shaped around the person and the opportunities available.
Development
Creative facilitator development
Neurodivergent Arts CIC is interested in supporting neurodivergent creatives, volunteers and emerging facilitators to develop confidence and skills in creative facilitation.
Creative facilitator development may be suitable for people who are interested in things like:
Co-facilitating workshops and developing creative prompts
Preparing materials and resources
Supporting participants to take part at their own pace
Learning how to hold a calm, accessible creative space
Developing their own creative workshop ideas
This pathway may include mentoring, co-facilitation, observation, planning support, reflective practice and opportunities to contribute to live projects where appropriate.
The aim is to create supported routes for people to grow into creative facilitation in a way that feels realistic, well-held and sustainable.
As the organisation grows, we are also exploring future apprenticeship opportunities, creating further routes for neurodivergent people and people with SEND to develop skills, experience and professional confidence.
Development – emerging area
Employment coach development
As the YER Programme grows, Neurodivergent Arts CIC is interested in developing people who may be able to support young people with confidence, transferable skills, work readiness and supported progression.
Employment coach development may be suitable for people with lived experience, creative practice, youth work experience, education experience, mentoring experience, employability experience or community-based support skills.
This pathway may include training and development around things like:
The YER approach and creative employment readiness
Regulation and workplace preparation
Reflective coaching and confidence-building conversations
Supporting Return-to-Room reflection
Working alongside employers and placement hosts
This is an emerging area of development within Neurodivergent Arts CIC.
We are interested in hearing from people who may want to grow into this work as the YER Programme develops.
Freelance
Freelance artists and facilitators
We are interested in connecting with freelance artists, creatives, writers, movement practitioners, facilitators and workshop leaders who may want to work with Neurodivergent Arts CIC on community, culture, wellbeing or employability projects.
Freelance opportunities depend on funding, programme needs and project fit.
We are especially interested in people open to working in ways that are:
Freelance work may include things like:
If you are a freelance artist or facilitator and feel your work connects with Neurodivergent Arts CIC, we would be happy to hear from you.
Community voice
Join our Community Voice Forum
Neurodivergent Arts CIC is shaped by lived experience, community voice and shared learning.
We are looking for people who would like to support the CIC by sharing ideas, reflections and honest feedback as the organisation grows.
This is a lighter-touch way to get involved. You do not need to become a director, trustee or formal committee member. You might simply have lived experience, professional knowledge, community insight or a connection to the people and places our work supports.
These meetings help us pause, reflect and listen, so the CIC continues to grow in a way that is rooted in community voice.
Community Voice Forum members may help us think about things like:
What is working well, and what could be clearer or more accessible
Gaps in local creative, wellbeing or employability opportunities
Ideas for future projects
How our work feels to the people it is for
Future partnerships, programmes and priorities
Between meetings, there may also be occasional opportunities to respond to a short questionnaire, give feedback on a document, come to a review session, or help us think through a new idea. These are optional and can be shaped around people's time, energy and capacity.
We especially welcome interest from neurodivergent people, people with SEND, parents and carers, artists, community workers, educators, employers, cultural partners and people with local knowledge.
The Community Voice Forum helps Neurodivergent Arts CIC keep stakeholder voice and community insight at the centre of its development.

You do not need to fit neatly into one category. If you feel connected to the work, you are welcome to get in touch.
How to get involved
If you are interested in volunteering, freelance work, creative facilitator development, employment coach development or joining the Community Voice Forum, please contact Neurodivergent Arts CIC.
Tell us a little about:
What you are interested in
Any relevant experience, skills or lived experience you would like to share
What kind of involvement feels possible for you
Any access needs or support that would help you take part
You do not need to send a formal application at this stage.
Some opportunities are voluntary. Some freelance opportunities depend on funding, project needs and timing.
We will always aim to be clear about whether an opportunity is voluntary, paid, funded, developmental or exploratory.
Where people volunteer with us, we aim to cover travel costs wherever possible.
As Neurodivergent Arts CIC grows, we are working towards creating more paid, developmental and professional opportunities from within the community.
Let's talk about what might fit
